RA-King Speaks: Self-Reliant
Being self reliant is to be independent. Just as the sun sustains itself emitting its energy, that keeps the planets in its proper rotation. The same is true for US when we sustain ourselves we can give proper energy to those in our family/circle, as opposed to taking away from it, we bring to it. There are different routes to understanding and gaining independence, and being self-made. My route was through the underworld, others may have been taught by family or friends. When we become self-reliant we can properly build with others as our own entity.
All my life, I've dug beneath the surface. Society gives us an outline of what life is in America, yet the underworld shows you the reality. Growing up living in the ghetto and in the suburbs at different points of time, I realized through both that the principles of the underworld didn't change in either. Due to this my views never completely aligned with those within my family who lived the straight and narrow. I considered them to be slaves of their circumstance, instead of the captain of their lives. They were missing out on life, due to being afraid to live. I grew up watching my mom's cycle of debt continue, even as she moved us to the suburbs. She couldn't escape the vicious cycle of being trapped in a rat race, and every avenue leading to another dead end. I believe this is where my independent nature erected in self.
The aim was right, but my target wasn't. The lesson was learned through my trials that when you depend on yourself, your life runs better. You are responsible for the blessings that are drawn into your life.
