What Is Prayer? April 30,2013

Prayer is asking and receiving.
It is not asking and wondering if you've been heard.
It is not asking and wishing your request is granted.
It is not asking a worrying, with births doubt.
It is not asking and withering, like a seed with no root.
But.....
It may include asking and waiting, patiently.
It may require asking and watching; instead of waiting for your answer
to fall in your lap.
It may force asking and wanting; sometimes the things we pray for are
right in front of us, but our pride & ego won't uncloud our vision.
It may cause asking and thinking; most times God has already given
us the ability to obtain our prayers....we just need to think how
it may include asking and being patient; there is a time and place
for everything, and God's time is always on time.
Essentially, prayer is asking and receiving.
Godspeed!
