CJP

Thank you for the transcription of my many posts. I used to blame the way my life turned out on my childhood but no longer.

The only reason why I have the opportunity to write my daughter is because of the Between the Bars website. Every day I serve in prison is a day further from the drug addicted loser I was. I hope one day to be able to be a part of all four of my children's lives.

CJP, I am sorry that your father allowed his demons or his false sense of pride to keep himself from being a part of your life. Towards the end of our short lives the weight of our past becomes unbearable. I hope peace can be found for you as well for me.

- Paper Mache Father -
Being a father in prison
It's like eating spaghetti with a spoon
It's like hugging someone else's dog for comfort
It's like being a ghost
That becomes real on visitation day.

Roland 8/18/13

Thank you for your kind words.
