The capitol protest singers, for the past two years, have been singing in the state capital building.
They do not believe they have to obtain a permit pursuant to new rules passed by the republican controlled legislature in wake of the 2010 protest to recall, which failed, present (R) Gov. Scott Walker.
Further, despite a federal judge (W.D. Wis. 2013) ruling upholding the rule.
On August 11, 2013 numerous protestors were arrested. 30 of them demanded jury trials. Obviously, the Dane County judicial system is not equipped to accommodate such a huge number of jury trials.
On Monday August 26, 2013 (NBC T.V. and News NBC.com) over 300 protesters were arrested at the capitol today. Their motions for jury trials may be the most massive impact protest to date.
