RE: Step Down Program hearings (post)
On January 14, 2014, around 12:00pm the program was slammed because the counsellor is going around talking to inmates about the Step Down Program. I imagine that she will also be talking to me too, because I am waiting to go before the DRB. They locked us down all afternoon and never came and said anything to any of us. There's been a lot of debate over the way the prison officials are seemingly playing inmates against each other. It seems they are letting some inmates out of SHU, but not others, this is confusing for many inmates. And can be even more confusing for the younger inmates if they see an older inmate jump at any deal to get out of the SHU. While telling others not to be fools. Already quite a few older inmates have gone out to general population.
I don't know I'll have to wait and see what the DRB tells me. My only problem is that I have a law suit pending and can't leave the SHU because my witnesses are here and I'll need to get at them eventually. It will be harder if I'm somewhere else. It's already hard to get anything done and I'm here. Just imagine if I was at a different prison.
They never came in this pod, so I guess it was not for us in here.
