RE: Still in the SHU
Greetings,
Yesterday (Thursday) was the day that they pulled us all out, two sections at a time, and escorted us to the visiting room. We sat in the cells down there for a couple of hours while the maintenance people checked all our cell doors. They do this every six months. I guess this is the last time I will have to go through it, as I am expected to leave in a couple of weeks.
For the last two days, we have had no hot water. They told us that a pipe broke. It's something that happens a lot around here. This place is sorry. If it's not electricity that goes out, it's the water. If it's not the water, it's the TV stations. I have gotten used to it, but it's really messed up because we hardly ever see an entire movie or a program. The stations go out constantly. They come on and go out all night—since it usually happens at night.
So I will be glad that I won't have to put up with that any longer.
I have been waking up earlier now, getting myself adjusted to waking up early. Once I get out of SHU, I must be prepared to do everything myself. No longer will they deliver everything to my cell. What a bummer. I got used to the delivery service.
