Hello Lavender,

Thank you for your transcriptions of my blog posts.

Today is May 15, 2014. If I haven't heard from you tonight concerning the missing page two of Creating the Perfect Eyewitness, I'm going to mail this reply to your message informing me. You would post what was available on May 5th. I should wait a while longer, but I doubt it matters right now.

I've decided not to go on any further and need to back away. Since all I'm doing is repeating myself like a crazy man, believing people care as I wrote the recent post Eyewitness Fallibility. I decided if what I've posted this far hasn't helped, I don't help the added stress keeping me up. It's my mind refusing to shut off. I'm taking a sabbatical to spend time preparing for the end.

Thank you again for your assistance and kind regards.

Respectfully,
Milo Rose

Dear One Eagle

There is a convention on the Between the Bars website that Blog Entries are transcribed but personally addressed Comment Responses are not. Our interactions therefore appear on the website but are differentiated and seperated by the lack of transcription. I therefore feel that although our correspondence is very public, it is also very personal.

I'm terribly saddened by the bleak tone of your note regarding your unwillingness to keep blogging. It sounds as though you are in complete despair about your situation and my heart goes out to you. It would be quite wrong of me to ask you to continue with a fight if it becomes too much for you to bear and I cannot pretend to know how much courage, faith and conviction it has taken you to come this far. All I know is that you have put your information 'out there' in the world in the hope that someone will step forward and take up your case. I hope I have helped a little, but I know that I cannot make what you need to happen actually happen.

You are not forgotten and for as long as the website is available, your information is available to the world.

When you sent the 'Comment Response' on May 15th that I am replying to, you had clearly not received the pages I had printed of your series about eyewitnesses and mailed to you on 12 May. I have a horrible feeling that these notes reach you a lot faster than snail mail. There is obviously a much longer delay between your writing of your blog entries, the postal system, the Between the Bars adminsitration scanning them on to the website than I had understood. It may be useful for you to know that your Comment Response dated 15 May appeared today, 11 June, on the website.

As far as I am concerned even if you do not post any further entries I will be thinking of you.

With kind regards
Lavender

Dear Milo / One Eagle

I saw your Comment on Between the Bars asking me to write to you via snail mail, and I am sorry to have to tell you that I will not be doing so, as mentioned in earlier comments.

I originally signed up to Between the Bars to help with transcriptions of blog entries so that prisoners' writing would be more accessible to the wider community through search engines. I do not wish to have any deeper involvement.

With kind regards
Lavender

Dear One Eagle;

Milo it's Angel Shockley I have been in and out of the hospital past couple of months and my PO Box closed as a result of me not being able to check my mail. I do not know if you have been trying to contact me but I have NOT forgotten you! I feel awful not being able to speak to you in so long but I am out. I have had terrible blinding migraines and my vision has suffered immensely as a result. I have gone for 2 catscans of the brain and they have not found any cause for them, this happened to me 15 years ago when I was younger but it ended suddenly, but they are back with a vengeance. The doctors have given me advice to keep watch of the symptoms when it is coming on, and to take 800 mgs of ibuprofen and stay in dark room. I have recognized the symptoms and am now able to at times to stop them in their tracks, some days I am not so lucky though but that is more rare than frequent lately. I still am thinking about you and care for you deeply, so please my friend do not think for a second I have abandoned or forgotten you. Because I lost my po box I will have to give you my home address. My real name is Robin but use the name Angel cuz it was a knickname since writing to so many men in prison I used a surbame. but now you know the truth and I still love you and think of you constantly. A lot has changed since last we wrote and if you please write me back I would love to explain everything to you but in the mean time I will get this off to you. Please write me at my home address, I see the doctor again Thrusday this week but am not scheduled for anymore hospital tests so I will be home to receive your mail. I will not give up on you and unlike some people I will not decline to write you and get personally involved with you and your case. I am here for life and please don't forget that. I am doing better now so plase write me!!!!!
