For A Brief Moment

For A Brief Moment

I came to you poor, wretched world only for a brief moment to share an everlasting beauty that you could look upon my face;

that you could hear in my song and feel in my heart of hearts;

that you could smell in the aroma of my perfume, and taste the delicacy of my lips;

so you could run your fingers through my hair—soft as silk;

so you could see me dance to your favorite melody—poetry in motion;

so you could rap to me and share your deepest emotions and make memories that will stand the test of time;

Now I must journey on; leave your world behind to explore the universe—divine and wait for you at the door of eternity.
