Psychological Warfare

Hello, World. It's Quashon Huskey.

I am sorry to have kept you waiting. Prison wears the best of us down and I apologize for any absence. I never knew that life could be so disturbing.

I go through up and downs intervals between these walls. I've found out that words don't mean anything. People don't mean what they say, and feelings aren't felt by people in certain situations. As I grow and mature, I learn that the more we say, the more we should keep to ourselves because once we open up, hearts get closed.

The worst feeling in the world is not feeling loved. To be loved and to feel loved is two different things. Prison has a way of making people feel like they aren't loved. Closed off from the world, there is a reality check that gets cashed in on us, leaving those of us incarcerated out in the cold. And in the cold, life is extremely bitter. You find out that you are alone, by yourself, deserted. The more one attempts to hold on, the more rope one loses, the more one finds what friendships really means.

The battle of the mind is something that we may need to pay attention to because, when our psyche is involved, it's a serious situation. So walk with me on this journey again.

These are my thoughts. These are my feelings. This is me. Give me feedback.

Sincerely,
Quashon Huskey
