Dear BostonRocks,

May the peace and blessings of Allah (God) be upon you and your daughter.

I want to thank you for your comments Re: Forgiveness. I'm sorry to hear that your "baby's father" has made the foolish choice of having zero involvement in her growth and development. However, I notice you are carrying a lot of resentment towards him.

May I ask: what do you really resent this man for? What may you be responsible for in this situation? In what way can this experience assist you in becoming a more mature woman? What lessons can you learn from this? What have you been unwilling to accept about this situation? Abandonment? Failures? What good can come from this situation? Finally, what can you now let go so the situation will be complete?

BostonRocks, many things can happen in life, many misunderstandings and conflicts. Your feelings, needs, and desires are valid and will help you to make good decisions in your life. Trust yourself in being able to discern what "the right thing" to do is.

Peace,
Zakee
