Dear Julia,

Thank you, for the comfort, knowing someone is reading my rantings. Your aphorism by Charles de Montesquieu, rings so spot-on to the FOG OF JUSTICE. Go to the head of the class!

I'm pleased, you like Erich Fromm. Trying to make a difference, in an indifferent world, I found he hit on one of the many flaws in the rehabilitation system: in the Art of Loving, he wrote: Only the person who has faith in himself is able to be faithful to others.

The prison system actively destroys and discourages a person's self-esteem/faith, thereby, ordaining that so many of these poor souls will be faithful to no one. Prisons make bad men worse, and good men bad.

So, all of that and a buck, will get you a cup of coffee, but I believe you're a sentient person, that cares about the social morality.

Seeing the legal sausage being made,

Robert
