It's 5:30 AM on Sat morning. I've been up since 4:30 AM. I didn't get in last night until 9:15 PM.

The institution I am at: we have fundraisers, and I am one of the chosen few who issues it out to the compound. I make it sound easy, but, believe me, it is a lot of work. The fundraiser this time was trail mix from Walmart. The institution raised 40 thousand dollars for Christmas wishes so 20 grand (which is half) will go to children so they can have a good Christmas. The coolest thing about this is that on Monday 12/22/2015, we wrap the presents for the kids. I know it may seem crazy to some people when they read fundraiser, prisoners wrapping Christmas presents. But I am at 100 run of the mill institution. Okay, enough about giving back. "Oh, wait a minute."

I want to share that even though it's Christmas time, I still feel like I am a part of something that's so much more bigger than what I am. It's a positive thing. I love my live, and the woman that I have become. I have been incarcerated since 2002. I had a bad drug and alcohol addiction. Coming to prison, it saved my life. I will write more tomorrow.

Today was cold in the 60s. It's so hard to believe that all I have are 382 days left, and I am FREE. Wow! Just got some pictures back of me and the dog I am training. As soon as I get the copies, I will send them. So this hasn't been much of a winter, for sure! I will write more this week! Hello! Is anyone out there? Questions??
