Dear Rita,

Thank you for responding to my attempt to meet new people, and create friendships during my time behind these bars. I could already tell that your a very compassionate person, and I hope we can begin a great friendship?

I am Oglala Lakota (Sioux) and Northern Cheyenne. I was raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in western South Dakota. I just began my 17th year of incarceration, but my time to walk free will be here in (3) more years. I know it may seem like alot to you, but to me, it's around the corner!

I am very compassionate also. I find myself viewing the world through a different set of eyes, and sympathizing with the poverty stricken and the powerless. I've dedicated most of my time behind these bars to helping Native American Peoples, especially our youth. I feel it's vital to help because I realize there is not many people today that will risk, or even try to understand the important struggle of our time.

I am 32 years old, my birthday is March 18th, and many people that know me say I act older than my age. I like to hold deep conversations about life. I am always looking for help to expand my project to bring awareness to Native American Youth issues here in the USA. I am willing to share my culture with you, and others that would like to learn. I enjoy movies, exercising, reading, writing, walking, learning new things, and learning more hot topics around the world.

Can you do me a huge favor? The next time tou look up at the morning sky, or view the moon at night, can you think of me and say a quick prayer for me?

Thank you for hearing my words, and I hope to hear back from you soon? Take care.

Sincerely,
