My typewriter broke down so until I am able to have it repaired (it's like finding a place that works on Walkmans, lol) or buy a new one, it's the old pen and paper. :(
Be that as it may, I have some news that just could not wait for a workable typewriter: I have been bestowed the honor of membership into the National Lawyers Guild (www.nlg.org) as a jailhouse lawyer! This is indeed a great privilege for the guild has a long history of defending those who stood up to the oppressors of human rights, even when it was perilous to do so, e.g. Communists during the McCarthy era; the Mississippi Summer of '64 volunteers; and more recently, the Cuban 5; inmates stuck in solitary confinement; and #BlackLivesMatter.
I just hope to manifest, at the least, half of the courage that my predecessors and contemporaries exhibited in the face of severe systematic opposition and help to continue the legacy, specifically:
