Love is a wonderful topic! In fact, I believe that love is the most powerful force in the universe! The fact that God sent Christ to die for us is proof of that! The book of Romans in the Bible tells us that "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!" Wow!
And because He shows us what true love is, we are able to learn how to truly love one another. And, yes, we do have to learn how to love. We are naturally selfish people so God's love seems alien to us or else impossible. And it is impossible in the natural sense. However, at some point, we realize that love is spiritual and we have to give into that "inner voice" telling us to risk all by giving our heart to another!
Love is risky! We have to risk being hurt, being betrayed, being abandoned, and having our hearts broke. Doesn't sound very good, does it? It doesn't, but there is another side to love as well! And that is the inner peace and security it gives you when your love is reciprocated! There is NO stronger bond in the entire universe! People in love will, and can, move mountains!
And even if the person you love proves to be unworthy of your love, the pain does subside as you continue to love others and realize that the problem wasn't that you took a chance to love: it's that you took a chance on a particular person. Forgive them and move on!
I've learned a lot about love throughout my life. Mainly, I've learned that love is not a feeling. It is MUCH more than that! When love is genuine, it is expressed through actions. Yes, I believe we should tell our loved ones that we do love them, but they should already be convinced of that because of our actions! In other words, our walk has to match our talk!
I love my son, future daughter-in-law, grandson, sisters, and all my friends. And I express that with words & actions. My world revolves around them, NOT around me! Of course, I had to learn how to love and I thank God that He showed me how! I am so thankful! Love never fails!
Let me end this by sharing a definition of love that I just came across today as I was reading about it. Love is true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us.
Until next time —keep loving one another!

Love never fails!
God loved us when we were, humanly speaking, unlovable. He made that choice!
We must make that choice, also.
