On The Single Life
In the past, I loved rarely, but when conditions were right, I raced full speed ahead. Of course, that led to a lot of dissatisfaction and grief. As intelligent men, we often strive to change our women by "teaching them." Given, an intelligent man will want to teach everybody, but we are often especially demanding and insensitive when it comes to the transformation of our women. People only truly change and grow on their own.
In addition, I've never engaged the roller coaster of emotions involved with being in love. See, in my previous relationships, I learned to love someone who wasn't my physical type. Not to say she was ugly, but she did nothing for me in purely physical terms (no lust factor). The gratification of sex was solely in the bond we shared and the emotions involved. It was sex as a byproduct of love, not love as a product of sex.
So now, I won't get much out of casual sex. i'm less enthusiastic about the girls who are "my type" body-wise, and more keen on the comparability of our personalities. This is something I didn't consider enough in the past. Keep in mind—I am serving a life without parole. So now all women to me is like a diamond to me.
