A Prison's Reality
Locked away, separated from all that we cherish and value, and even love, we try to find a balance in our daily routines to fill the long hours of the day; to fill the voids left behind and hold onto sanity; to not let the corruption fill our hearts or the devious ways.
I've found this not only through writing but through art. It's not true art, but the simple act of coloring like a child would. To make something pretty because beauty is hard to find. I appreciate your encouragement and like the fact that some even like the little doodling that I do. It's just to share that something nice can come from a place deemed a prison; even though I am in its pits, my mind is still free to grasp my reality and overcome its grip. I do enjoy drawing but it's all for you! I don't let my circumstances dictate what's deep inside. I share because there's nothing that gives me more joy than hearing from you and knowing someone appreciates my art, whether it be in the form of writing or drawing. It surprises me that it's seen from so many miles away. :)
Anja, thank you for helping the inseparation to continue. Because when I don't hear from anyone, I begin to wonder: am I doing this idly or if its purpose truly working. My purpose was to encourage others to write! Because I look forward to that the most. Even if it's a comment, I look forward to receiving all of your letters. That's why I always enclose my address.

So if you would like, drop me a line or two from time to time to let me know you are all out there and reading.
