Does anybody know the flight# at the Alaska Airlines plane that went down off the coast of CA in '99?
Does anybody remember this at all? My friend's mother was on this flight.
I bring this up because the guys on the Patriot Radio Newshour said that AK Airlines has had only one jet go down; outside of Junan in '71.
They did trace the problem back to the "elevator" assembly, so they conducted a nationwide inspection of all MD-80s in the country, but they knew they wouldn't find anything. This was the original "isolated incident."
So if anybody can tell me the flight# of the Alaska Airline plane that went down off the coat of California, then let me know please.
