Offer On Life Is Open Until Sept. 25th
Do you know why I'm going to die? I'll tell you why. I'm going to die because I opted to go to trial. Yes, a constitutional right to a trial by a jury of my peers.
This wasn't a death penalty case. Look below at the Phone-o-Gram where then Prosecutor Lance Day was trying to force me into a life sentence. Had I taken the deal, I would have gotten out in 2015. AT the time, I had just turned 22 years old. I was extremely suicidal! And my dad was 43 years old. I looked at him as an old man. And I would be four years older than him when I got out. No, they were threatening a 22-year-old uneducated suicidal kid with death. And I didn't realize the state had the deck stacked against me. My trial attorney was so bad, he didn't hire an investigator. Didn't even walk across the street and look at the physical evidence.
Yes, I'm going to die, over a 22-year-old kid's bad decision in not taking a deal and putting his trust and faith in an attorney who was "unequivocal incompetent." But when you're poor American trash, you don't deserve the best. At least that's the way it appears.
A window of time—to live or die. Four days to make a decision. There is is in black and white. Fight for change, for these legalized homicides need to end. God bless you.
