Dear Jen,

Life has been extremely hard this year. Losing my mom has been my worst nightmare. But you have been such an amazing friend and you have made such a difference in my life in such a short time. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for all of your help with everything, and thank you for being who you are. You are an amazing person.

It's rare to meet good people while in prison, and I almost gave up on everything after my mom died. Why life when I have no mom to be proud of me or to see my change and grow into a better man. But having friends like you, that makes it worth it. So I can never repay you, but I can show you how deeply grateful I am.

As you know, our banquet was great and, next year, we hope to improve on that. You helped me accomplish so much. If I can help you with ANYTHING, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Take care, my friend. I have so much to do, but I'll be in touch. Ciao, amica mia.
