God's Hotel
I checked you in again
Last night, my dear child
Because it hurt me so bad
To see you out there running wild
All tired and worn out.
How you looked unto me.
I put a mirror in front of you
But you couldn't even see
That you've been dwelling alone
Among the last walking dead sores all over your body.
Confusion in your head.
I know jail is not the place
That you wanted to be
But it is my "HOTEL"
A place where I can work upon thee.
You see, you weren't arrested,
You were rescued from yourself.
I had to bring you back here
Put your life upon a shelf,
Give you some rest, some new friends,
And some time.
Encourage you and love you,
Let you know you are Mine.
So don't be a mute led around by the bit.
Give heed to my warnings
And I'll help you quit.
This could be the last time
You'll have to come to this place.
Please just listen, I am your Father,
See the tears on My face?
I'll wash from your soul
All the shame from the streets.
Help you conquer your addictions,
All your pains I'll defeat.
Just give me your hand,
We will conquer the cold.
I will free you from the demons
Who have been stalking your soul.
So rest in the Hotel
I've prepared for your stay
But know you will come often
'till I've taught you My ways.
So learn my lessons
From the shackles that Satan places upon thee.
You see, you were in prison
Long before you came to this place.
You just couldn't see
How much life you did waste.
Come closer, I will help you,
Set you free from your sins
In My Hotel of true beginnings
Your new life will begin.

This is a very powerful poem. I hope you continue to write poetry because you're very good at it. Poetry can be anything you want it to be. It can be deep snow but it can also be light whispers. But most of all, it can be comforting.
