I have never responded to a comment before, but I had to respond to you.
I received your comment on 1-8-18. That day was an especially bad one for me. Three days from that day would have been my son's birthday if he were still alive. The pain of not having him in my life was weighing me down, like an anchor was tied to my soul. I'd been trying throughout that entire day to overcome what I was feeling. I spent most of the that day in the Bible, trying to obtain some peace. At 5:30 p.m. that day, I decided to go to the gym to try to work myself into a state of exhaustion in the hope that doing so would allow me to sleep.
I got back at this cell at almost 7:30 p.m., and I saw the envelope with your comment inside. Upon opening it, I saw three simple words. More than you may ever know, I NEEDED to hear those words.
Although I have no idea who you are, I appreciate your expression of kindness. Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. God alone knows how much I needed what you gave me when you did. You are a tangible example that shows our human weakness is outmatched by divine strength. Once again, I thank you. I'm genuinely grateful for your presence. God bless!
