Corporate Punishment
I believe corporate punishment has become the entity of life. Not just in the business world but independently in individual people's lives. Every day you have to stand on guard that you are not punished for something you didn't do. Whether it's in your job, schools, corporations, personal life, church, leisure time, just at an average organization, an institution, government or justice system. Basically, we have to live a life of suspicious of people.
I can remember when I was molested by my step-dad when I was 9-13 years old. My mom was a nurse. She worked 12 hour night shifts. When I told her, she didn't believe me. My mom had no knowledge that this was going on. But in today's society, she would have been in prison for molestation, just because she didn't protect me. But how could she protect me if she had no knowledge of what was happening until I told her and she didn't believe me? Because my step-dad was a church pastor. Just saying so, she and my step-dad went to prison.
What would she have learned if she had no knowledge concerning the molestation? Nothing because she had no idea. So there was no lesson to learn except you have to be careful who you trust with your children.
Let's say the lady stayed in prison for twenty years. They found out she had no knowledge what happened. Today's society, the district attorney, GBI, and detectives feel they had every right to put her away. They're not going to apologize because they know they made the right decision.
I feel every one of them should do some time in prison to see how it feels.
I had a friend who worked at the doctor's office. She had no clue they were stealing the medical funds. Well, they arrested everyone who worked in that doctor's office, including her. They sent her to prison because they felt she was a part of the sting. So she set for five years for a crime she had no knowledge about. So what lesson did she learn besides torment and humiliation? This girl left behind husband and children.
A group of people arrested for one dead bodyguard robbery went bad. Three of the people got out of the car before anything ever jumped off. Later on, they hear about the situation but one was at the baby mother's house. The other one was sleeping in his bed and the other one was sleeping in his bed and the other one was at Ma's house chilling on the phone with his girlfriend. But the police arrested everyone because they was together earlier. Not because they committed a crime, for sure. Even though there is one dead because a robbery went bad. They arrested everyone, including the three innocent people who had knowledge about what happened.
So they all went to court because they feared that they was going to spend the rest of their lives behind bars. They plea bargain out under coercion. They went to prison, and were tormented by the guards and inmates. One of them was even raped and beaten.
Corporate punishment is dangerous and needs to be stopped.
It's an average day at the prison. Well, two inmates get into an argument over the TV. The punishment nobody gets to watch the TV. How is it that the other inmates at fault when the two individuals were clearly at fault? Do you think the innocent inmates learned a lesson? Absolutely not. Did the ones at fault learn a lesson? No, because now that they know they are going to get everyone in trouble. They are going to keep doing things to get everyone in trouble because they have been gaining the power to do so.
This is what our society is teaching repeated offenders as well. Sometimes when they are arrested they have groups of people with them. SO they camouflaged that it really was their idea. So they being to point to others. They do the same thing in the jails and prison.
Nobody should have to live with their lives in suspicion. But we do. Because corporate punishment has become a big bully in our everyday life. It's time to put a complete stop to corporate punishment bullying.
