Hello, Mr. Father Pfister. Thank you for the thoughtful comment. :) Feedback on these posts makes all the difference. It makes me—this one, anyway—feel like it's worth carrying on.
You asked, "Who said 'the pen is mightier than the sword'"? Well, I really don't know. But since for sure, at least, you did. I'd just give credit where credit is convenient.
Glad you liked "Dem's Not Ma Peeps". But you know what's sad? I almost left it out, worrying that some people might read it as though the Dems, as in Democrats, are not ma peeps. I think that says something unfortunate about our political state, although it really might just say something about me. I didn't worry over anyone confusing "ma peeps" with the matriarch of marshmallowy Easter confections.
I'm with you on the sorts of people you dislike—"gladhanders and backstabbers". And I also like people "whose actions tell me everything," but I'm afraid I fall short myself in the "no pontificating, plain-spoken" areas. I can be pretty nerdy-wordy for suredy. Poquito pontificatious.
