Finally! The vet needing spinal surgery had the procedure yesterday. Now the wait in recovery to see if he will regain any motor functions. They had told him the damage suffered already cannot be reversed. The surgery should have been done months ago.
it was a miracle he made it at all.

A mass em and prayer request as I prepare for parole.
So my first bit of good news for 2019! The counselor recommended me for a transfer to Lincoln C.C. for a 9-month training program called CAPS. It provide a state level certification in clinical counseling and assistance for job placement in some kind of mental health field. Perhaps I could see this certification in some way to work or volunteer with the vet centers?
A sister program to this is called WRAP out of SIUE (Southern Illinois Univ-Edwardsville). This is close to St. Louis and does put me further away from H2, but I must be open to God's leading. The two-state certifications would point me in the direction as a mental health counselor or trainer.
