ANOTHER CRAP SATURDAY
We are on a FULL-LOCK-DOWN! Again.
Tried to call my son, but Jaime's phone dropped the call three times, back-to-back (or it was GTL?); and, when I did finally get in touch with her, she'd left where he was. She said she had some errands to run, and had gotten nowhere but stranded with a flat tire.
I only had about a four-minute window to talk.
I wanted to relay the info about the lock-down, because the officer was about to put us all in our cells, and that meant (means) no calls, no emails, nothing. It could be days, weeks, months before she or anyone could hear from me. But, I'm not sure if she heard what I was saying, she was obviously having a bad day herself.
None of us know why we are on lock-down.
Another killing? A stabbing? A gang fight?
There's no telling. But, one thing I do know -- this is going to be a LONG weekend, with nothing, not even a shower! And when this is all over, some how, some way, I'll be the one that's made out to look like a jerk. Even though it was a miraculous chance that I even got MAKE a call before we all got run in … I'll still be the A-hole.
Things are about to change though.
Soon, I'll have a TABLET that I can use for video chats, calls, downloading music, movies, etc. And it's legal! It was approved by the director of SCDC. I wish I had it right now, but it's going to be some weeks before I get it. How cool is that? I'll be able to call, and even see who I'm talking to, from my cell, any time I want; and, I'm told the service will be cheaper that what I'm paying GTL already!
So, while THIS may be a crap Saturday--they ALL won't be.
