I'm not exactly selling indulgences from the comfort of my fortress here in hell, you know.
In fact, it's quite the opposite, actually. I encourage accountability in Purgatory.
Helping me helps them, in that helping humans learn to think for themselves, by example, is much more successful when they can witness the benefits of maintaining integrity.
