My Mother's Fears

Well, my mother is really concerned about retaliation over what I'm doing here, opening Pandora's Box, exposing the conditions here. I was trying to get the senators in here before they cleaned up the toilet paper and feces that's been out there under the catwalk bars since August 3rd, when that toilet in 6105 overflowed. But last night (Saturday, August 24th), they finally cleaned it up.

Oh well. There is still other stuff these senators need to see.

A lot of guys have been thanking me for exposing all this stuff, so the staff's attempts to turn inmates against me is actually having the opposite effect. 'Cause these guys understand what I'm doing. I'm doing for everyone.

Some of the things I'm trying to do, guys might not like. 'Cause if we get body cameras on these officers and mandatory polygraph exams, well, it's going to stop all the contraband cell phones, drugs, and other staff favors. And there's a lot of corruption that's in this place! But if it cuts down on the abuse, helps us enforce rules, then I think losing contraband isn't all that bad. Then, of course, I don't get high or buy illegal cell phones. Nor am I paying staff for personal favors. So, it doesn't affect me like it would someone else.

I'll be working on several things this week. I've got an idea.

We've got a lawsuit on the conditions back here. We need them attorneys to bring in a mold inspector. So, that needs to be a part of the settlement: to have this building pass inspection, which it will not do. This building is structurally unfit without even taking into account the mold contamination. There's no reason to prepare this building and restructure it for us until it passes an inspection. So, we've got our work cut out for us to bring about these much needed changes.

And I, more than anyone, understand my mother's concern about the retaliation. We've been through it before. And she's actually seen how corrupt some staff are. But it's the chance you take when you step out here doing this.

Continue to fight the good fight for those of us in this cesspool.

God bless you.

Sincerely,
Ronald W. Clark Jr. #812974
