SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT!

23 August 2019

To Whom It May Concern:
It has been my pleasure to supervise William G and several other inmates through Scientology extension courses.
Their lessons demonstrate that the students are becoming more aware of their responsibilities to their families and communities. They appear to become better people.

William Goehler was the first to tackle Scientology and as a result of his realizations about life, he insisted that other inmates also read the books.

I have been a Scientology supervisor for over 30 years. The lessons from William have been as well articulated and in many cases more thoroughly pursued than any other student I know.

Due to William caring about his fellow inmates and insisting that something should be done about getting Scientology to these men, it is possible for me to assist to make a difference in their lives.

Thank you William.

would never have happened. It is because of William and only William that I have been able to help these inmates get through these courses.

I believe the knowledge William has acquired will be a plus in whatever job he has inside Mule Creek State Prison and when he gets paroled. He has learned many Organizational skills because of The Problems of Work course. This will enhance his ethics and production on any job. He has the knowledge and willingness to follow work specifications.

I am enclosing copies of inmates' statements regarding Williams help and their Success Stories.

This is true.

Sincerely,

So, my own philosophy is that one should share what wisdom he has, one should help others to help themselves, and one should keep going despite heavy weather for there is always a calm ahead.

Article: My Philosophy

"What is important is how much service you can give the world and how much you can get done and how much better you can make things. These are important things. These are all that are important. A bank account never measured the worth of a man. His ability to help measured his worth, and that's all."

'The Problems of Work' book has a video he would show to them in the Chapel. He has other videos he would show them that would help inmates take responsibility for themselves and learn skills to improve their communications and how to help others.

I have been in communication via letters and phone calls with William. He has helped get many inmates to do correspondence courses at our Volunteer Minister Center. He also helped get inmates onto other courses delivered at other Scientology organizations such as 'The Problems of Work'. Enclosed with this commendation are a list of inmates and the courses they completed due to William's assistance and encouragement. He has always shown to me that he is interested in improving conditions where he is. He wants to help inmates so that when they get released, or not, they know how to help one another. Sometimes an inmate needs a little hands-on assistance to understand the courses and I write him and ask him to help that inmate for that course. He has always made himself available to help a student.

There has never been a time in our communications that he hasn't shown high interest in helping his fellow inmates. I believe he wants people to be happy. He completed the Criminon program over 6 years ago and that course helped him help others. He daily nudges inmates to complete their courses and get them graded so they can learn the data and receive their certificate of completions. He has taken the time to send them directly to me when there has been a mail problem.
He also sent me his Logbook for the time he helped inmates in the Chapel prior to meeting me. He has helped over 180 inmates by introducing them to different books, courses, and videos per his logbook.
He has also written to his daughter and offered to help her. I know he writes to friends as well and sends them information on how to improve their lives and handle problems.
I can honestly say, if it were not for William's encouragement to these inmates, and me, the list of completions I am attaching to this letter

To Whom It May Concern:

On April 2, 2017, Mr. William Robert Goehler K778322 wrote to the Volunteer Ministers office asking for help. Since then I have been in communication with him 3 to 5 days a week, 28 months of working out a system to help inmates to do these courses.

William asked us for help for his SPO (Scientology Prison Outreach program). William and I are in communication so that we could get sponsors to help inmates do courses. William introduces the courses to the inmates in the Mule Creek State Prison Chapel or when the opportunity presents itself.

Highly Commended
Mr. William Goehler

Mr. Goehler initiated actions to improve things in his prison, Mule Creek State Prison, by requesting that The Way to Happiness Public Service Announcements be played on the prison TV. These PSAs encourage and educate on how one can take actions to increase one's own happiness and the happiness of others by common sense actions like keeping one's word once given and following the law.

While it took a while, with Mr. Goehler's persistence, all of these PSAs were played for all 4000 inmates at his prison.

This is an example of taking responsibility for the well being of others. Very well done and I hope you continue your actions.

12.25.19 Dear Mr. Kevitt,
Thank you once again for your commend. As I informed Mr. Riley, We also had THE TRUTH ABOUT DRUGS PSAs aired here on our institutional channel recently. And our Media Center Technician wants more.
I am attaching my additional commends here from both Ms. Eichenlaub, and Ms. Hillestad this year - as a salute to you all for my progress on this ennobling bridge. 2019 has been very productive - and in very grateful. 1. See Attached 18 Certificates of aptitude received in 2019, as proof, (mailed separately) Thank You All, WG

Melissa from Adopt an Inmate here. We just noticed when trying to send a message to William Goehler that it shows he has been released! If that's true it's wonderful! We'd like to keep in touch and know how he's doing. We invite him to contact us: melissabee@adoptaninmate.org.

Peace and thanks.
