SMS Day # 1
Congratulations
First week of March 2020,
A new hero in the form of Skylar Brown, director at San Quentin State Prisons Media Center, broadcasted the historical first program of the Sound Mind Streamer throughout the campus SQTV network system.
The Africa themed program started with urban instrumental beats from the Hood the music was followed by street dance battles that feature Rubix, oh, wow, and Lil Blade from the Long Beach when we all saw grow up into the master he is today, and welcomed a reminder to all foster kids abandoned youth, at risk youth all backgrounds, races and genders that dance and the arts have always been a safe space for self-constructive expression, where freedom know no enslavement. No church judgement, no drug problem, no gang predators, just Lil Blade serving fools :).
The program featured "On The Streets" in Africa, and the "Ugandan Martyrs" where Africans spoke to the history and modern day homosexuality themselves, instead of hearing the prison yard version from so-called "African know-it-alls" on the yard

We tried to start that story around 2013, so SMS viewers would be able to gauge how advanced Africans are on this issue ahead of American prison yards in 2020.
We also featured a brief American LGBTQI+ history piece starting just after Stonewall in 1969. Our intent was to show the total invisibility of inner city youth, and today in 2020, the resources, and legal protections gained from the struggle of some of the most amazing people ever, still has not reached the very people that was viewing our program at SMS.
Beatings, spit, being doused with water, urine, feces and dirty condoms and forced into re-housing into protective custody, and I'm not talking about transgender persons, I'm talking about young homies from the hood just like everybody else that identify to what has been labeled LGBTQI+, and what we know in our community as same sex loving people, and/or gatekeepers. Someone said that we are straight acting HomoThugs, I said, I'm not a HomoThug and I'm not acting, I'm just being me, and SMS is a safe space for people to just be themselves without being forced to agree with ideologies that exist antithetical to our nature

We closed with a National Geographic study on "epigenics" and we plan to continue to provide liberated facts and exploratory journeys into reality of self with SMS
