My Dearest Love:
Sitting here waiting in these pre-dawn hours watching you sleep so peacefully in my mind as the rain comes down outside my window, wondering back through so many years past. My heart is always smiling, thinking about all the memories we've made together. The good ones, the sad ones, they're all part of our lives together.
A lot of couples stay together for one reason or another, something more than love. We fought like cats and dogs, broke up, made up, fell in love over and over, and stayed friends. It's important to be friends with your lover.
You never asked me what I wanted for breakfast, you always knew. You took my side in every fight. You didn't care if I was right or wrong. We were a pair.
Laying here beside you this morning, I want to wake you. Just to tell you how much I love you. But you look so beautiful in your sleep. So, I'm just going to lay here and hold you in my arms as tears run down my face like the raindrops running down the window.
Your love is my reason for dreaming and bringing back old memories—like the time we danced in the bank parking lot in teh rain to the tune of the kids laughing. I love you.
