Sexual Degradation
These people love to make us jump through hoops and sexually degrade and humiliate us. Staff like to put us through strip searches, even when it's not required.
For instance, during showers here in P Dorm, the rule specifically states we're not being strip searched. See rule 33-601.830 section (5)(c). Prior to escorting an inmate from a death row cell for any activity within the housing unit, the inmate shall be thoroughly searched. If the inmate is escorted outside the immediate housing unit, the inmate will be strip searched and restrain devices (handcuffs, waist chains, black box, and leg irons) shall be used.

So, this getting strip searched, bend over, cough, spread your butt cheeks, lift your testicles, stretch your penis—seems to be more for their entertainment. And the pleasure of humiliating and degrading us than anything else.
Because clearly, unequivocally, the rules do not require it—as you just read.
So, this is sexual harassment at its best by the FDOC. It can be called nothing else! Clearly, they're enjoying the power of making another man strop naked and follow their commands. Why else would you require a man to get naked when the rules don't require it?
Yes, this is something that needs to be brought to the attention of FDOC Secretary Mark Inch. For this is an abuse of power in a sexually degrading manner. We need change and we need it now.
