Thank you for your response! Yes, if cops could be sued individually, then it would make a difference. Just not sure which way the scales of justice would fall on that. Would the victim receive compensation and justice or would the system just prove itself again by not holding the cop responsible in that arena too??? We will probably never know as the system isn't going to allow the courts to become flooded of these cases, airing out how bad the problem is. You're so right on something else too. All cops aren't bad. So it sucks that to create change, they have to suffer alongside their colleagues.
