Just opened by food tray,
and some jerk left finger tracks
in my smashed potatoes, as
if they didn't realize the top
of the tray is risen.
This place don't suck,
the people do. Didn't eat tonight.
The vents in this 150 year old
prison are too low to the
floor for my generation to make beatz and spit flowz,
so we do it "OVER THE WIRE."
You see, the cell floors are
open bars like in the old
cowboy movies, but they added
2 black Rotiron mesh cage
on the outside, so we can hear
each other for quite a distance

Now, we don't need to be at
the bars to be heard, so
with one headphone on
listening to "da' vent" beatz
coming from our in cell TV's,
and the other ear open
to each other, we can remain
COVID-19 virus spread free
without compromising our
HipHop Culture.
The vents here only "pull in"
air; so no spittle escapes
unless some idiot is at the
bars yelling like a dumbass,
disrespecting Gay People >:(.
I'm sooooo glad that we created
da'vent because we don't need
to see each other to be together,
and being alone is sooooo not
healthy, especially right now
in this pandemic. It's really
bad here, Really bad.

I can relate only a fraction of what you are experiencing from when I was in the US military "Boot Camp" decades ago. I remember how the process of breaking down a civilian via isolation to no media (music, tv, newspapers), phones to call family and such)
Regardless the situation, good to read you have a balance to listening to some beats from da'vent and dealing with hooligans; especially in isolation. I feel ya on the lack of respect when it comes to the food. When I read that finger indentation, all I could do was shake my head.
Continue to stay strong and keep on making "beatz and spitz flow" "Over the Wire!"
