Poetry

in the morning
darkness I wait
no longer sure
how long
I've been waiting
not sure of what
I'm waiting for
a person
the first light
of dawn
showing me
where I lost
my way
where was I going
what am I doing
I don't know
who we are anymore
I'm afraid
I'll never find you
more afraid
I will
I can't
keep my eyes open
or remember when

did you ever
look behind you
like a small child
looking for where
you once were
hoping to bring
yesterday's joy
catch a glance
of something
you once loved
share a moment
of happiness
in a dream
watch out
don't run
into the one
in front of you
