I am a poet
I have lived
between prison walls
during the times
of prison wars
I have know poverty
faces of homelessness
I occasionally write poems
hidden in my journal
imaginary of prison life
with images of death
I hate funerals
if I don't attend
my friends didn't die. 8/20/20
