STEPS FORWARD FROM COVID-19

The prison has slowly began to return to normal operation, and for
the first time in nearly six months many of us here were able to get
outside and exercise finally.
It's great being in the sun, with fresh air.
Someone years ago had the bright idea to put paint on the
windows. so cells receive no sunlight. Even though it was a
violation of Federal laws governing the operations of state prisons,
SC still did it anyways. Going outside is the only way we get
sunlight or clean air.
Since my security level has dropped and I can now go to lower
level prisons without all these fences and rule, I've been giving
that some thought. A lot of thought... . I don't know what the future
here holds, but whatever it is, I doubt I will be a part of it. I
expect that under new laws and guidelines that I will be free, so ...
I now work to prepare myself for society. I have several jobs to
choose from when I get out, but one in particular that pays the most
(by far) would put me in Atlanta, Georgia.
It's odd how life turns out.
Still, it's good to be alive.
2020 has rewrote all life as we knew it -- yet, there's always
the chance of brighter days ahead on the horizon. All we have to do
is wait and see.
