PRESS RELEASE
Re: Trial About WI Supermax Staff Enabling Stabbing
WI prisoner Nate Lindell begins a trial in Madison's federal courthouse on Nov. 1st, against staff at the former supermax in Boscobel for allowing a particularly dangerous prisoner to stab him several times in the head with a foot-long steel blade.
The case is Lindell v Boughton, W.D. Wis. Case #18-CV-895. Footage from staff's body-worn cameras & security cameras, showing the stabbing & staff's response, was filed on 27 Sept. 2021, and can be obtained using pacer.gov as can photos of the weapon and blood puddles, and numerous complaints by other prisoners about staff ignoring threats to them by others in the restrictive-housing/Seg unit (RHU), resulting in multiple stabbings & assaults during the group activities that prisoners were obligated to participate in (with no guards present) in order for them to be released from RHU.
The judge is Stephen L. Crocker, and may be contacted at PH#608-264-5153, if you want more details about the case.
