Mule Creek State Prison
Subject: PHASE I FEEDING PROGRAM
This memo serves to announce the implementation of the Phase I Feeding Program at Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP). This modification is necessary based on significant staff shortages and inmate workers on quarantine due to COVID. This modification will affect the weekend (Saturday, Sunday) meal services only. The feeding plan will consist of two (2) cold meals and one (1) hot meal beginning Saturday, January 22, 2022. The two cold meals will be Breakfast and Lunch; Dinner will continue to be served hot.
Items served for breakfast will consist of the following:
• 1 Box meal
• 2 Boiled eggs
• 1 Fruit item
• 1 Milk carton
• 1 Coffee packet
The Lunch and Dinner meals will be conducted and served as normal. Once staff shortages decline and a sufficient amount of inmate workers return from quarantine, MCSP will return to a normal feeding program.
In an effort to maintain staff and inmate safety, Food Service requests the assistance of Custody to ensure all items are served to the inmate population promptly and with the use of all PPE. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Food Service Management at ext. 5814 or 5806.
