Four Poems

Lost
And wounded
Bleeding
From the heart.
Abandoned
By those whom I adored.
Friends
Close relative
Gone.
From my life
As I walk on the road
Less traveled.
Alone.
With nothing left
Except old memories
School dances
Kisses on the bus.
Love
Tell me you remember
Me
The way I was
When I first kissed you
In history class.

x

Enter
The visit room.
And
Kiss my lips.
Before
The officers
Break it off.
Quick.

x

I was chained
They
Laughed.
As I
Attempted to eat
The food
Off my tray.

x

I
Kicked the door
With my shower shoes on.
My feet still ache
My feet
Are numb.

x

You left me too.
Now
You cross my mind
Mildly.
And I see her
All the time
Her
The one after you
In my mind
I see her eyes
Not yours.
But...

She's no more
She
Never belonged to me.
Not her kisses, her caresses,
Not her eyes.
Please
Don't read this as a plea
I just want to tell her
What I tell her in my dreams
Goodbye
I wish you the best
Wherever you may be.

x

L.O.L.

First she said,
"You're very smart."

Then she said,
"You're a smartass."

Then,
"You're an asshole."

Then,
She never wrote me back.
