Thank you for your thoughtful reply to ADA intimidation... and expression of empathy to our plight. In my chronicling the struggle of elderly in prison under the guise of "justice" it is difficult to find social redeeming qualities in so much indifference e.g. Forcing elderly prisoners with Parkingson disease to eat in a crowded prison chowhall to enterain the sadistic, rather than give the man dignity of cell-feed. Or, forcing an 80yr old wheelchair bound, incontinent prisoner in a cell/pod with 7 ghetto gang banger prisoners young enough to be his grand kids. All to often helpless elderly are forced to cell with a younger sociopath who murders the old man; I knew 3 elderly who met this demise - see BEHIND THE CURTAINS OF "REHABILITATION".
Unfortunately there are no advocacy groups to herald elder abuse in prisons and most of my peers are afraid, or succumb to "Learned helplessness."
Accompanied with this reply is a travesty caracture of Michigan Lifers Association's senicide "Year after year nothing changes except costs to taxpayers."
By the way I continue to see elderly dying in prison, but no "compassion paroles."
