        Art As Sedition
By Jeremy Pinson
I was recently told I can't have art supplies because my art is seditious. I was also called a Gadfly. I knew the definition of neither term so I consulted my dictionary and was quite amused. I can't imagine how art could possibly sabotage the world's largest government, particularly since my art isn't remotely political. It is a positive use of my time which likely has more to do with it's prohibition than any real suspicions of sedition. Unfortunately for my prison overlords even a pen and paper can be turned to art. As can the kool-aid on my meal tray and the canvas that is my cell wall. The Government can stop possession of art supplies but never the desire to create beauty.

Hey Jeremy - keep drawing won't you!
Your art is very striking, I do hope you're able to continue! As for it being seditious... I can't see any sign of that either - not even if I turn it upside down. Maybe that was his new word of the day & he didn't quite get the context... who knows...
