Trayvon Martin

I don't know you personally, but your story has been shown all over the world. What happened to you was not right, and I pray ultimately justice will be served.

My heart goes out to your family and friends for not only your loss but the complications they are facing seeking justice for it. I will tell you this, many people love you and I'm sure you're in heaven smiling and feeling very proud of the love and support that has been shown to you.

Oftentimes in our lives, we can't process why things are happening to us or why we go through different hardships and adversities. I've learned that the true testament to our character is how we respond to the hard times in our life. Do we panic, act our, hurt ourselves or others? Or do we get stronger, humble, patient, loving, and get closer to one another?

What has happened to you was terrible. However, the impact of your situation has brought our country together in a much needed way. One can only be proud of the love, unity, support, and commitment in seeking justice for your precious life.

Trayvon, may your spirit rest in peace. Please know we are all pursuing your justice.
