Hello, everyone!
As you know from my profile page, my name is Tony. I am serving life in Florida. I was convicted of first degree murder. I have been in Florida for 16 years and locked up for 13 of that 16. I have been in prison for a little over 11 years (the rest of the 13 was in the county jail), and 9 of those 11 I have been in close management.
Close management (CM) is a type of administrative confinement for people who cannot live in open population without causing a safety and/or security concern (troublemaker, basically). CM has three levels, with I being the most restrictive and III being the least. CM I is single man cells, and the other two levels are double man cells. Each level is a minimum of six months. Any DR (disciplinary report) within that six month review period can and, in most cases, will extend that current level for another six months.
I am currently on CM I. I should be having my next review in October. I have recently started studying Buddhism, and I have made a serious effort to change around my life for the better.
