Baby Girl Sara,
Baby, I hope you realize I cannot talk to you online. But I can reply by mail to your postings. After you post something, it usually takes 10 days to 2 weeks for me to reply by mail. Apparently you have read this blog, and know why and where I am.
Matthew, James, and Tom would love to hear from you. Have you talked to them? For that matter, so would I. If you want to write me: R.L. 1584681 # 1401 State School Rd. Gatesville, TX 76555.
I am going back to court to get a time cut or a reversal w/ an habeas corpus unit because this was self-defense. Hopefully, I'll be home soon.
Sweetheart, how are you? In college yet? Tell me about it. Or please, please may I have some pictures of you? I know, sweet girl that you are, beautiful woman now. I've always loved you. Still do.
Always,
Rhonda

I expect I'm the last person you ever thought you'd hear from. It's Jason, Mel and Fran's nephew/Jim's son.
I read about what happened to you. Whatever happened, prison's no cake walk. You'll be out in a few more years though, yes? Do you have plans for when you get out?
Do you have any contact from Sean? Or Janis' kids, Matthew or Debbie? If so, would you be willing or able to put me in touch with them? It's a long shot I suppose, but worth the try. And thank you either way.
I live in Oregon now, since moving from New Mexico in 2002. I love it up here.
And listen, I realize things weren't particularly great when we knew each other, but that was decades ago, and we're different people. At least I must suppose we are. I was a kid after all. *wry grin*
Anyway, take care of yourself and try to keep your chin up. Things will turn out okay.
To tell you the truth, I wasn't sure I'd hear from you, considering how things went the last time we saw one another. But it was good to hear from you all the same.
You were told I had passed away? By who? Fran? I can promise I am still very much alive. Come to think of it, I vaguely recall mom/Fran (I refer to Mel and Fran as mom and dad for obvious reasons) mentioning something like that, but not where the story came from.
As for Debbie, I knew she and Kevin or whatever his name was had gotten married and had twins. I remember seeing a picture of one of her kids in the late '80s.
I actually got a letter from Matthew in the early '90s. It was forwarded from the old Houston address after we moved from there. He was living in Ingleside with Janis at the time, or so I gather. He wanted to visit. But before I could reply, I misplaced the letter. I still kick myself about that and have tried to find him and the others, but haven't had any luck.
You and Shawn were the only ones I had a rough idea about. Mel was actually the one to tip me off to your latest string of troubles. That was a few years back I think.
Then I Googled you, again, and ran across this place.
Gene gave you Jim's wedding ring? That's great. I'm kinda bummed I don't have anything to remember him by, but I also know how contentious me being born was to you, Shawn and your mom. Him meeting Janis threw a wrench in the works, and for that, I'm sorry.
It sounds like you have quite a family. Here's hoping you can get out soon and start spending time with them again. I don't have any kids of my own, thankfully, though Marie does. And Julie too. You remember them?
Anyway, you can send any mail to this address:

Take care of yourself,
Jason
I got your letter, and I hear you sent a card as well (at least I assume it was you). Thank you. I've read and re-read the letter a few times. You gave me quite a bit to think about. This is a brief note to say thank you.
I will write a proper letter and mail it after the holidays when I have more time.
Until then, my thoughts are with you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. One step closer to you being free again.
Always,
Jason
