Flicks of Freedom, part 2

[Photo of man leaning against wall]

http://betweenthebars.org/blogs/2042/

I wrote a post awhile ago called Flicks of Freedom, basically requesting flicks of the free world and I didn't get any responses (Sad Face).

I'm housed in a 9 by 12 cell and all I see from day to day is a sink, toilet, shower, and four blank walls. It'd be nice to have something to see besides the space of this cell.

I'd like you to send me Flicks printed on photo paper or regular paper from the computer of "Everyday Things" that you encounter. A park, city street sign, a sunset, waves at the beach, a busy sidewalk, a parade, Sunday dinner, a club night, etc...I wanna see the world out there.

I will update this post with comments on the flicks you send in...hopefully I'll get a few this time (Ha-Ha). I look forward to seeing the world from your eyes and thanks for bringing something different to mine.

Send your Flicks To:

Hi Marcus. Im BRAND new to this site, and hope to perhaps get some photos together for you before you even receive this. It says my comment will be mailed to you by Monday July 23rd. Ill do my best to have them get to you around then or have them ready to mail. I may send a few mailings cos no tellin how many Ill come up with. Ill most likely print them all out on printer paper and arranged to fit so that Ill be able to send alot more at once :) but then again, I may send a few I already have taken recently already printed on photo as well. Please know I was happy to find your blog when reading this site, and have been here on and off for 2 days reading over 200 pgs worth of blogs. When I went back after those 200 plus pages, which dated back to around Aug 2011, I wanted to see who was still blogging. I immediately recalled your first post requesting flicks of the everyday outside world happenin, etc when I saw your 2nd request recently sent in. You are my first reply on here too by the way, so if you can stand out that much after someone reading well over 200 pages of MANY different blogs from around the USA enough for me to go back to the beginning (recent posts that went up in the past week) and recall your original post and who you were, be glad that you can stand out in such a way- not to mention the positive words and raw straight up honesty you write with because thats very rare these days. Throughout my many pages of reading, I came to look forward to your posts when I saw them coming up on the many pages, and will check out your entire blog post by post in order soon, but want to get photos together first. If you receive my 3 part (too long haha I knew it- I can ramble too much!) reply first via BTB, then expect some mail from KY SOON afterward. Im glad Im able to help, and dont worry, you will receive them and I hope like them as well. :) There have been many times in my nearing 29 yrs of age where all Ive had left in life to stand on was my word with others, and its the one thing that for years people have known me not to BS about so please dont think Ill forget. Im happy to even have the power to brighten someones day out there in a world where common courtesy and kindness seem to slowly be growing extinct at times! Plus, I actually respect those who give readers an idea of what theyd like to receive and arent afraid to ask out, because there are actually truly giving people out there who simply want to make someones day, put a smile on their face even if they are from states away, who have been through their own tough times and wouldnt have made it without others kindness, you kno? Passing that on! :)

Pt 2- I cant say Ive been where youve been but Ive experienced enough of the cruel side of the world where nothing is guaranteed to always be fair or to even make sense and where lessons arent learned easily for real. I may be able to count on one hand how many were real with me thru hardships in life but Id rather have those FEW true real people in my life than millions of lukewarm fake ones that may step out and disappear at any time, only to show back up when their life gets boring. So I try to make the smiles go especially to those peoples faces who not only deserve it, but who I can brighten days for as well. I admire you for keeping it together in a world of chaos and your strength is very admirable. As I said, its my first time here. OK ramblin 2 much (dividing my long comment into 2 parts) Stay strong and keep on keepin on and keep on keepin it together, and know you are admired for that by someone! Even if it is not always easy to see past ones own humble ways of how they see themselves, know that is how you seem to me and that I have never been wrong yet! :) Haha well not lately anyway, maybe when younger before truly "learning" to survive out in this world! Haha. (smile) Always, C.C.

Marcus, Hey its me C.C. Im glad U didnt mind a long response & that U wrote back 2 letters thru mail one just to let me know u got my notecard w/photo (I was in a hurry/didnt get 2 spray last two letters u got comin with my Christian Audigier Ed Hardy Pure Luck perfume :( & well, that sucks so im sad) but anyway- & ur response 2 my lil note to let u know that I had 2 get my printer situation worked out. It takes tha 2nd best/xpensive as heck (!!) HP color ink & the second one- a black & white, so both kinds of high $$ INK cartridge they make! (around $ 70 EACH just cost for one of them, too plus I was out of both kinds the one w/color n the one with ink thats blk & white too, so I had to replace em both EACH asap!) Guess cos the HP brand printer I got here had 2be good all just cos I use it 4 work (invoicing/accounts payable, fuel cards from the drivers, etc) here at home OFTEN if hectic at the company I work for, or my boss gets too far behind. :P Happens alot! But Id say since its a copy machine/printer/scanner/& a fax machine to send receive too & all in one, prolly it takes alot of the large inks cos that. But I got it worked out, good news is that as of last nite (Aug 14-15 finally was total done) I got all 58pgs of photo printed successfully w/no problems so yea- YAY! :) I dont wanna have to break bad on that dumb thing lol. :P So Im mailin 2 large envelopes 2-U (1 pastel colored purple/tha other 1 like a pink cos theyre really meant 4 large holiday cards & I found them n thought perfect! Cuz I saw theyd be perfect 4 mailing long letters & lotsa photos 2 yet only using 1-2 stamps) ASAP most likely tomorrow (aug 17) theyll be on their way. One is 11 page letter thats all over the place HAHA scattered n ramblin XD but it was my 1st letter 2-U so I had ALOT to cover & I still didnt get everything answered/covered in there! So I had 2 close/& come 2 an ending place finally past pg10 (lol no joke youll see!) so that it wouldnt be 2 huge to mail 2-U. Man here I am with another 2nd part reply lol go to part 2 :) sorry! Much Luv, CC --->

PART TWO AGAIN HAHA like last time----> Its CC again here. :) Anyways, where was I?? Oh yeah, anyways, the pics Im sendin out asap that I finally got ready/printed/sealed up in a big enuf envelope :)

The 2nd envelope has 1 set of pix printed out 4-U, 1 set outta 3 total huge sets. Yeh so alot is comin ur way 4real! Thats how they printed out/had 2 quickly divide em up, I used that much paper so I was happy 2-have been able 2 get SO many pics of tha city, rural areas, local famous KY horse farms, Ky Derby photos from this yrs race, cars, Gulf Coast ocean @ Marco Island Florida & also Destin FL w/me & my cuz visitin the sea n the beautiful gulf white sandy beach last time she went w/me road trippin 2010, then the colorful so pretty night life in downtown Louisville city- 4th Street Live was going on (youll find out about that in my long letter)& then pics of my 2nd other town, & ull see its like total different atmosphere.

My Lil' Town has a population of just 18,540 as of the 2010 census I was way off when guessed app. 32,000...& Im used 2 the city/Louisville, havin population of approx 1.4 million if u include the metro area & if not, u still got (within just the county of Jefferson) a pop. of over 600,000 people. WHAT a big difference! & 2 Be only about an hour and a half to 2 hrs apart of a drive (bout 100 plus miles dependin on where Im goin up there) youd not believe til u see these pics what differences im talkin about. Its like comparing, seriously, Atlanta GA with a small mountain town near West Virginia in the Appalachians. :) which youll see.

So 2 envelopes are headed your way tomorrow thru the mail for sure, 2 different colored ones, both huge cos one had to fit a 11 pg letter front n back which I didt even get close to finishing really lol so youll get a part 2 eventually when we write again :) and the other envelope had to hold the first set of those photos. I pretty much grabbed the first stack of 20 that printed off there and stuffed as many as I could into there without overdoing it, and fit about 15-20 sheets into one card sized envelope like from a card store such as Hallmark kinda lol. So just know that youll be receiving throughout the next few 2 wks or less, 2 more envelopes full of 10-15 more pages of pics cos alot more had to still print when I finally got ALL UR MAIL prepared n ready to go last night at 2am LOL. Much luv, C.C. :) Sendin best wishes ur way alwayz and foreva too! Never forget that! <3
