Potateos Eye Out

by James Collins (author's profile)

Transcription

Potato's Eye Out

My conscious wakes the beauty—
Of nature inside
Bulldozers hurriedly eat paths
Where potatoes eyed out

Moles and grouse are replaced
By human imagination
My guts swell with thought
Is it loss or gain
Perhaps it is an indicator for wrong
When I can no longer hear
The meadow lark's sweet song
