Just a Man

JUST A MAN

If I had the wings of an eagle,
I would fly, right here, from the middle.

If I had the wisdom of the ant,
I would gather me, much friends in the land.

If I had the strength of the ex,
I would carry all my burden like a machbox.

If I had the fins of a big fish,
I would swim the length of the vast seven seas.

If I had the regal power of a lion,
I would indeed, ever my subjects exert dominion.

If I had the heart of a sweet lamb,
I would keep you, warm and cozy firsthand.

If I had the patience of the "Ass",
I would, because of you, call myself blessed.

If I had the affection of a pare dove,
Like two love-birds, we shall delight in love.

But you see that I am a man imprisoned;
And I live in my own world, and lonesome!

Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post.

I really like this poem. Strange that nobody transcribed it yet.

"If I was a violet, or a rose,
I would be right under your nose.

If I had the longevity of a tree,
I would, with you, live in eternity."

This is so sweet! It made me smile. Again, thank you for that lovely poem. I hope you will find the one to share all this love.
Good luck!
Every time I look at my sweetheart I call myself so very lucky because of that true love I have found.
Don't give up hope, the love will find you! Keep on writing, especially these wonderful love poems.

I send you some sunshine from over here in Europe,
Kat
