C.C. Thank you for your interest. I know all too well about it happening in secrecy. The abuse is done in a way that you look crazy. I'd be called away from a crowd and pushed or punched for some imagined disrespect, and when I'd try to fight back he'd make a scene and I would look like the aggressor. Call the police and they threaten to put you both in jail. Leave and they manipulate friends for information just to show up and cause a scene. To avoid a scene you leave. Too scared to tell family or too ashamed. You don't want to get anyone involved for fear of them getting hurt.

I plan to share poems inspired by experiences, and excerpts from books I am writing that touches on abuse from all levels, and how women end up trapped in that kind of life. The books are fictional but were inspired by my life experiences. I hope you will keep reading. Again, thank you for your interest.
