This would make a nice letter to the editor, I think - just tighten it up to the main points you've made here about media sensationalism deflecting the attention of the public from the real issues and clouding perception of the power grab that's being made by criminalizing bigger and bigger swathes of the populace. Very smart and well put, Dym! I agree, it's scary that people are not opening their eyes to the manipulation... I think we've been blinded by years of priming by the capitalist machine to hold our material possessions in higher regard than eachother. It's just stuff, folks! You can't take it with you. There are alternatives that are more fulfilling! The more I think about it, the more all this just seems like the dying grasps of western civilization as we've known it. How many will survive the repurcussions of not learning better before it's too late?
